Twelve seasons in, RuPaul’s Drag Race has become firmly entrenched in TV’s mainstream. The series has been nominated for dozens of Emmy awards, inspired multiple spin-offs and international versions, and boosted the careers of hundreds of alumni. Drag Race queens have headlined shows on YouTube, Viceland, and Netflix, and HBO is the latest network to get in on the action with We’re Here. The hour-long reality series follows three popular Drag Race stars, Shangela Laquifa Wadley, Bob The Drag Queen, and Eureka O’Hara, as they head to small towns across America to interact with locals and put on drag shows.
