Christina Douglas is the CEO and founder of Momentum Content. Momentum is a premiere production company based in New York City that conceptualizes and creates bold and innovative non-fiction programming. Momentum uncovers exceptional talent, empowers diverse voices, chases unfiltered emotion, and tells truly incredible stories.
Christina brings her diverse TV experience to the couture content she creates and produces, laser-focused on high-end execution. Christina’s passion for content creation and entrepreneurship runs deep, as she began making documentaries at the age of 16. Her first doc was called WAITING FOR WORK,and highlighted the plight of immigrant workers and day-laborers in the Hamptons, of Long Island New York.
After college, Christina spent over a decade working as both a freelance producer and network executive. She spent the majority of her time at Discovery Communications where she worked across programming teams for the portfolio’s major brands including Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Science and Investigation Discovery. At ID, Christina developed over 150 hours of linear content and created record-breaking, brand-defining series, including EVIL LIVES HERE, THE 1980’s: THE DEADLIEST DECADE, and LAS VEGAS LAW. She also discovered Sheriff Garry McFadden of I AM HOMICIDE.
In 2016, Christina launched Momentum. Within 6 months, she sold her first series, PRIMAL INSTINCT, to Investigation Discovery. The 6-part series aired in 2018, delivering over 1- million viewers each week, and was renewed for a Season 2. Christina built on Momentum’s success, leading her team in selling content to Netflix, History, and Travel Channel. While she is best known for her expertise in true-crime storytelling, the Momentum brand is quickly expanding thanks to the team’s growing reputation as trusted content creators.
Christina is a graduate of Dartmouth College and currently resides in New York City with her husband.
